Know what your bathroom quote includes
At a home appointment, we measure the room and talk through the work you want. A bathroom refit can involve several trades. Your written quote needs to show which fittings, finishes and jobs are included, so you know what will happen before the old room is taken apart.

Agree the bath or shower, toilet, basin and taps.
Walls and floor
Set out tiling or wall panels, flooring and preparation.
The fitting work
Confirm plumbing, electrical work, removal and any work outside the bathroom.
What happens during a bathroom refit?
The order and time needed depend on your room and the work agreed.
Prepare the room
Agree access, protection for the carrying route and when the water or bathroom will be unavailable.
Remove and check
After the old fittings and finishes come out, the fitter can check the walls, floor and pipes underneath. Any extra repairs need to be explained and agreed.
Fit the new bathroom
The work may include pipework and wiring, preparing wet areas to keep water out, then fitting the suite, wall finishes and floor.
Finish and hand over
Taps, waste pipes, shower operation, seals and finishes need checking. Keep the product instructions and ask how to report a problem.
Plan for the time your bathroom is out of use
If this is your only bathroom, tell us at the start. The fitting plan needs to explain when the toilet, bath or shower will be unavailable and how access to your home will work.

How long does fitting take?
The time depends on the work, room condition and products. Agree the expected schedule before starting, including what happens if extra repairs are needed.
What changes the installation price?
Moving drains or fittings, repairing walls or floors, changing electrics, the size of the tiled area and product choices can all change the cost. A quote needs to reflect the actual room.
